Maruf Alam; (Born 27 November 1976) is a Bangladeshi National. Maruf graduated from The University of South Alabama, Mobile, Alabama, USA in 1998 with distinction. He has a degree in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentration on Operations & Systems Management. He started his professional journey in 1999 after coming back from the USA by joining a Joint-venture company with IFS International, USA and a local reputed company specialized in Banking IT Infrastructure development in Alternative Delivery Channel Transaction processing.
In 2008, Maruf started his own venture with select few partners in the fields of IT Infrastructure enhancement by developing the first ever niche Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) Switch and Card Management System. At present, many local private sector Banks are using this solution for operating their Card Systems.
As the Chairman of I-Clique Group of companies, Maruf is responsible for managing multiple companies and actively involved in Card Management System Implementation, PCI DSS Implementation works as well as EMV Plastic Card sales, EMV Specifications implementation & consultancy to various Banks by representing several multinational companies as local agent.
He successfully served as President of France Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIFB) from March 2018 - March 2020.
